RACHEL GOLDENBERG (REICHANEK)

Owner and head coach Rachel has been in Crossfit since December 2012. She competed in gymnastics for 18 years, finishing her career as team captain at Division 1 Kent State University in Ohio. "I always had dreams to open up my own gym one day and have a passion for sport, which led me to a Kinesiology major and a minor in Entrepreneurship."

Upon graduating in 2012, Rachel opened CrossFit Parallax in May 2013. Although still new to CrossFit, she knew this was where she belonged and she wanted to spread the love for fitness to everyone she could. She holds a Crossfit Level 2 certificate, as well as her CFL1 nutrition certification. She enjoys teaching her gymnastics seminars within the tri-state area. She has coached multiple masters athletes and a team to the Crossfit Games as well as helping 2 individuals to the regional level in addition to competing individually at Regionals 3 times and with her team in 2016.

"I hope that my passion for fitness helps people realize that it can be a lifestyle, and it can be so much fun."

KIERAN TRACEY

Kieran graduated from Stockton University in 2016, majoring in Biology/Chemistry, and currently attends Jefferson University in pursuit of his BSN. He grew up playing soccer and baseball through high school, and started regularly attending the gym in college. He came into CrossFit just in time for the 2017 open, and has been seriously committed ever since, attaining his L1 in June 2017.

For Kieran, CrossFit is the perfect blend between his interest in the functionality of human movement and his desire for competitive athleticism and self-improvement.

" I believe that everyone has something to benefit from CrossFit."

Katie began CrossFit in 2014 and instantly loved the challenge and strong sense of community. She wanted to learn more about Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting. Since then, she has attended the MisFit training camps twice and obtained her CrossFit Level 2 certification.

"I feel like I've really found a home here at Parallax and hope others get to experience the same!"

PAUL CONNOR

Paul gravitated towards CrossFit in a similar fashion many others have. After competing in wrestling in high school and at Elizabethtown College for 4 years, he needed something to continue setting the bar high. Paul quickly found a love/"hate"relationship with CrossFit, which was right on the same wavelength as his wrestling career. Paul has always had a no-quit mentality and since doing CrossFit, has learned new skills that he would had never been open to try.

Paul obtained his Crossfit L-1 certification in 2012, and was one of Rachel’s original coaches. Paul is a Special Education Teacher at Middle Township, and has been so for 3 years now. He is also the head wrestling coach at the Middle School and volunteer assistant at the High School.

"Learn the basics and practice them religiously, push yourself outside your comfort zone, and most importantly, embrace and overcome adversity. These are key elements to jumping levels and pushing through boundaries that are simply just a delusion."

In the Summertime, he is also a lifeguard in Avalon, which pushes him to make sure he is proficient in swimming, running, and rowing. He is ready to take your hand in pursuit of making improvements in yourself, and occasionally, jump into the fire!

Since then, he has obtained his level 1 and currently mentors and trains Rescue Swimmer candidates. Joe enjoys any water related sport. He competes in prone paddling and loves to surf. His favorite activity is going to the beach with his 3 kids.

John Santosuosso, Jr., has been practicing Physical Therapy in the State of NJ since 2000. He received his Master’s of Physical Therapy Degree from Stockton University in 1999, and has spent his career predominately in an outpatient setting, treating a variety of Orthopedic conditions in patients ranging from ages 10 years to 90+.

In addition to his Physical Therapy license, he became a Licensed Massage Therapist for the State of NJ in 2016. Being dually licensed has allowed him to work with others who may be suffering from more in depth soft tissue injuries.

Mr. Santosuosso plans to continue expanding his skill set with Continuing Education in both Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy to help improve his abilities; thereby, translating to more effective outcomes for the clients he works with and helping them to achieve greater independence with their daily living.
