RACHEL GOLDENBERG (REICHANEK)

Owner and head coach Rachel has been in Crossfit since December 2012. She competed in gymnastics for 18 years, finishing her career as team captain at Division 1 Kent State University in Ohio. "I always had dreams to open up my own gym one day and have a passion for sport, which led me to a Kinesiology major and a minor in Entrepreneurship."

Upon graduating in 2012, Rachel opened CrossFit Parallax in May 2013. Although still new to CrossFit, she knew this was where she belonged and she wanted to spread the love for fitness to everyone she could. She holds a Crossfit Level 2 certificate, and enjoys teaching her gymnastics seminars within the tri-state area. She has coached multiple masters athletes and a team to the Crossfit Games as well as helping 2 individuals to the regional level in addition to herself. 

"I hope that my passion for fitness helps people realize that it can be a lifestyle, and it can be so much fun."

RICH DUPELL

Coach Rich is a father of 3 with one on the way. He started coaching CrossFit April of 2013, and co-owned and operated A CrossFit gym for over 7 years. Before that he was a personal trainer for 3 years training people ages 3-77 Including his wife through 3 pregnancies. His love for clients and teaching has led back to doing just that here. He holds 9 CrossFit certifications, CPR / AED, and ISSA Personal Training certification.

 

He was always active growing up being a 4 sport varsity athlete in high school. Excelling in wrestling where a 26-3 senior year record landed him a 3 seed in the state wrestling tournament. In Baseball  he was named to named to the All City Team, while leading his team to an undefeated season and first championship in 38 years! He also started Defense end for the football team and ran on the cross country team. 

 

“Moving with quality is most important to my experience and philosophy as a trainer. My goal is to help clients take the focus off of quantity, to help them celebrate small purposeful successes so they can learn more about their bodies true capabilities over time.”

JIM GRAUEL

Coach Jim is a Captain of the Wildwood Fire Department where he has worked for 18 years. After trying Crossfit, he saw how it is the best way to stay fit for the job and life. He is a proud Dad of two sons James 18 and Jaxon 11. He loves to train alongside them any chance he gets even at zero dark thirty his favorite time of day! 

Jim obtained his level 1 in 2014 and began coaching here shortly thereafter. His love for the great outdoors has carried over to training outside the box every chance he gets. Coach Jim loves to train on the water or outside. He now holds a Crossfit Level 2 certificate.

Jim coaches a Crossfit Parallax on the Pier series all summer long on the Wildwood Boardwalk where he incorporates all aspects of the great outdoors in the workouts. Beach, boardwalk and the ocean. Jim also starts each summer off by hosting the Murph Challenge right on the Wildwood Boardwalk. Each year over 100 athletes complete the Murph Challenge. In the past 5+ years, over $15k has been raised!

JUDY PENVEN

Growing up, coach Judy has always been involved in sports. She played volleyball and tennis in middle and high school. At Stockton she was on the crew team all 4 years. She now has two children; Hunter who is 14 and Madison 10. Judy has been doing Crossfit since 2013. She now holds a Crossfit Level 2 certificate.

"My Crossfit journey started at Living Well and I now have the privilege to coach at Parallax. July 2013 I obtained my Level 1 and the following year I received my Crossfit Endurance certificate. I am also a spin instructor and bartender."

 

"The most important thing that I have experienced at Parallax is the community/family and camaraderie. Crossfit is where we all gather to improve all areas of our life. We strive to better our physical and mental capability, educate ourselves about nutrition and form long lasting friendships."

KIERAN TRACEY

Kieran graduated from Stockton University in 2016, majoring in Biology/Chemistry, and currently attends Jefferson University in pursuit of his BSN. He grew up playing soccer and baseball through high school, and started regularly attending the gym in college. He came into CrossFit just in time for the 2017 open, and has been seriously committed ever since, attaining his L1 in June 2017.

 

For Kieran, CrossFit is the perfect blend between his interest in the functionality of human movement and his desire for competitive athleticism and self-improvement.

KATIE KLINE

Katie played on the basketball team at West Chester University and was a PSAC top 10 award recipient. She has a degree in Kinesiology along with a minor in health. She is the Ocean City High School health and physical education teacher and coaches the Freshman ladies basketball team.

Katie began CrossFit in 2014 and instantly loved the challenge and strong sense of community. She wanted to learn more about Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting. Since then, she has attended the MisFit training camps twice and obtained her CrossFit Level 2 certification. 

"I feel like I've really found a home here at Parallax and hope others get to experience the same!"

An athlete in the swimming community from 5 years old through college,
Cheri excelled at swimming and earned a swimming scholarship at The
University of West Florida where she majored in business management. Cheri started CrossFit back in 2017 looking for a new passion, and fell in love with it.


Cheri also has a huge passion for nutrition, which led her to become a dietitian and to start her own company- Simple Lifestyle Nutrition, now named Parallax Nutrition

Simple Lifestyle Nutrition offers nutrition coaching for all levels. By offering Inbody scans, we use cutting edge bioelectrical impedance analysis for accurate and non-invasive body composition testing. 

Cheri also offers Personal training.

Meal prep services ranging from breakfast/snacks to full meals. 

For members only: deep tissue massage and cupping services are available!
